Pill Pusher Summary The story "Pill Pusher" by Carolyn A. Drake begins with a tired storyteller working at a pharmacy. The narrator instructs a woman to wait in line. The woman is very impatient and frustrated that she has to wait. The narrator points out the line where the woman has to wait, while making assumptions about some of the other customers. However, the woman becomes more and more impatient.
