It is about a woman, that has been taking the pharmacy education, so now she is working on one. This one day we hear about, there is a customer, it is a lady, the main character is calling Bug Eyes. Bug Eyes does not really have patience, and she is not okay with the prescriptions she is documented to be having, for her 8 years old daughter. Then the main character and Bug Eyes starts fighting. But then the main character realizes, that Bug Eyes’ daughter has Leukemia. Then the main character gives some advice to Bug Eyes, and Bug Eyes is apologizing for her behavior.
Analytical essay
We read the story thru the person that works at the pharmacy (the main character). The main character is actually not described in the text, of being either a man or woman, but when you look in the text, there will be some relevant clues: ”She’s not much older than me - maybe ten years” (P. 3, l. 95), the way the main character compares themselves to the woman (Bug Eyes). Also the lines: ”I’ll bet ten to one he offers to get me a cup of coffee while he waits, because he’s just such a nice guy” (P. 1, ll. 20-21), most likely when you say ”will you get a cup of coffee with me?” you mean going on a date. The main character is also pretty sure he will offer a cup of coffee, and because there are more people being heterosexual than homosexual, the chances of the main character being a man, according to the conclusion of the main character, about the guy at the pharmacy asking him/her out, is lesser than if it was a woman. But again also because of the way the main character compare themselves to the woman, it might be a woman. That is why I have been described as the main character, as being a woman.
