Through many years black people have suppressed by white people. From slavery back in the 18th hundred to the racial problems we know of today. Even though there is no longer any slavery in the US, black people are still being oppressed. Black men and women are all being judged by their color no matter how their job situations or neighborhoods are. In the article “The awakening of Colin Kaepernick”, the journalist John Branch writes about the football player Colin Kaepernick, who takes a kneel during the national anthem to spread the message of the injustice of African Americans. But is it right to kneel during the anthem just to spread this message?
