Prostitution I the oldest known profession. Some people have the opinion that you are selling yourself, meanwhile other people mean that it is just of way of living.
The law for prostitution varies from country to country and can even be different from city to city og from state to state. On the one side it is seen as a profession, and on the other side, it is a crime punishable by death in some countries.
In most countries, sex work is very controversial. Some members of religious groups oppose prostitution, they see it as a threat to their moral codes, while others see it as a ‘’necessary evil’’.
Some feminist groups have labeled prostitution as exploitation, they say that it is a way that males dominate women. European women’s lobby, say that they are the largest umbrella organization of women’s associations, has considered prostitution as ‘’an intolerable form of male violence’’
In the Greek-roman time it was considered normal, that men bought sex, they were usually married late, so they needed satisfaction
Indoor and outdoor prostitution, what is the difference?
Street prostitution is very different from indoor prostitution. Many of the problems associated with “prostitution” are concentrated in street prostitution and much less seen in the indoor prostitution. Many street prostitutes work under scary conditions and are involved in “survival sex,” selling sex to survive or to support a drug habit. Some are runaway youths with no other options. Many use addictive drugs. The risk contracting and transmitting sexual diseases are very big in street prostitution, they are exploited and abused by pimps they are very vulnerable and could easily assaulted, robbed, raped, or killed, they are also socially isolated and disconnected from support services.
