Why did I choose Sunderland? I choose Sunderland because I think it is an exciting club and have a lot of good stories through the time. Many of the fans that now support Sunderland, did also support them when they got relegated.
Sunderland AFC is an English football club who plays in the English EFL League 1. They used to play in the Premier League, but in the 2015/16 season they got relegated after a bad season, in the 2016/17 season the fans just though that it was for one season they would be in the English Championship, but they were wrong and relegated again in the 2016/17 season, and had big problems with money, player contracts, staff contracts and all the mainly expenses. A television crew followed the club when all this happened and made a nice documentary about Sunderland and called it Sunderland Till’ I die. In the documentary we meet the fans of the club, the staff in the club, the players in the club and the managers. At the moment the manager of Sunderland AFC is Lee Johnson. Lee has led Sunderland to a 3rd place in the EFL League 1 and it looks like they are going to fight for the promotion after 3 seasons in the EFL League 1.
