Capital punishment has been approved as a valid punishment by the government. Innocent lives have been sacrificed because of capital punishment, which most people can agree upon to a certain extent. For this reason, taking the life of another has always been considered to be one of the most deplorable kinds of punishment that is available. It raises one of the most pressing moral dilemmas of our time. Should taking the life of one, who has taken the life of others, be considered a possible punishment? Capital punishment is immoral and a violation of natural rights of a human being.
It is wrong for everyone to harm a person but that does not justify killing the prosecuted. Innocent people have been falsely accused of murder, rape, etc. numerous times, only because the police want the case closed as soon as possible. Instead of Capital punishment, there should be lifetime without parole. Innocent victims are not guaranteed equal protection under Capital punishment. These people are humans with family, memories, a pet, or a girlfriend/boyfriend. It does not align with the promise of fair trial, and it certainly does not give closure to the victims' families. Therefore, I want to argue against capital punishment.
