Black lives matter The killing of the unarmed 17-year-old boy Trayvon Martin in June 2013 really started the black lives matter. When the Trayvon was in the hood where there were a police patrol, he was wearing a hoodie, the police thought he looked suspicious, when the police officer chased after him because he thought he was is being chased by someone and ran, he didn’t know that it was the police chasing after him. The police officer then jumped out and shot Trayvon. The police officer wasn’t sentence and was acquitted cause he claimed that it was self-defense. A
