The short story "Bone Deep" (2018) by Martin Malone is about a family of six who suffer the loss of a son and a brother after a car accident. The reader is first given a short story about a skeleton that has been found in the town and then follows a conversation between the father, the youngest sister Ann and the brother Ian, where one gets to know the family members and their relationships. After the accident, the family struggles to stay together. It is difficult for Ian and Ann to forgive their father who caused the accident. They wish they could forgive him as easily as their brother Terry, the twin who didn't die. It's almost as if their father and Terry's relationship is stronger than before.
