irregularities “Irregularities” is a short story written by Courtney Jones and published in 2003. In the short story we follow the life of a woman working as an administrative assistant at a cardiac care unit. She struggles with the themes of unhappy love, misery, denial and failure. The woman had an affair with her employer, James Soleander, and apparently she is now pregnant. She wants to tell Dr. Soleander about the pregnancy, but for some reason she has not managed to.
