Who are the Amish?
The Amish nation is a group of people who live in very primitive ways. They do not have any kind of electricity, so they use compressors and hydraulic things as tolls. They wear old-fashioned cloth. The men wear baggy jeans with suspenders, and they are also often wearing a hat. They do not have a moustache, because they think it symbols war. But the married men have a very big beard on their cheeks. The women wear dresses and bonnets.
The Amish people are very good handcrafters because the most of them are working on a farm. Furthermore they do not use cars, they actually use buggies.
The Amish lives mainly in the vest side of Pennsylvania, and they have fled from Germany, so they speak Pennsylvania Dutch and English. Besides, the Amish believe in baptism, which means that they will be baptised when they are grownups. The young people can make their own choice concerning whether they want to be Amish or not to be Amish.
Why do they have right to live in these different ways?
In my opinion I think it is all right that a group of people live in these ways. But I think it is a hard position, that they shun people who do not want to stay in their way of living. I do not think that, I would stay being Amish, if I should choose. Anyways, I think it is peoples own choice, how they choose to live their lives. I do not think the Amish are provocative to the American community just because of their way of living, and I have a very good impression about them. I cannot understand if any people are against them, they are just working at their farms, and they help each other if someone is distressed.
