The Amish are a minority group so they have to live with all the prejudices about their way

of life. They separate themselves from mainstream society, and many people think it is

wrong to be different and you have to live like everybody else, but I think it is okay,

because if that is what you want then you are allowed to do it. They believe that if you don’t

have unnecessary things you will enjoy the things you have and spend more time with the family. They enjoy working in the fields and being together with the family. They don’t use more than absolutely necessary. This way you don’t get stressed, and you can relax, and enjoy life as it is. Some people reject them, but I think they should have a lot of respect because they dare to be different.

The Amish lifestyle, compared to our lifestyle looks very different. But there are some similarities. Here are some similarities between an Amish life and my life. The Amish people go to church like we do, they follow the same religion. They marry each other, but mostly with an Amish. They usually have good family relationships, like I do. They go to school but it’s only until 8th grade. I still wouldn’t like to become Amish, because the Amish only make friends with the people who live in their little community. There is no way to communicate with the outside world. In my opinion, their little community is like jail, because if you leave you’ll be expelled forever. Your Amish parents will expel you too.
