The gun law in USA is very strange I think, it says that everyone over 18 years of age essentially can buy a rifle or a shotgun. When you’re over 21 years of age you may acquire a handgun from a licensed dealer or shop. The only persons that not are allowed to use or buy a gun, is people that have been judged for violence at home, undocumented immigrants, Citizens who have renounced their citizenship, minors and people with mental anguishes. It's estimated that there are 200 million guns in the USA and 30,000 gun-related years by year, about 10,000 of them is homicides.
The reason why there is so much violence in the US is being described with a cartoon movie in the movie ’Bowling for Columbine’ by Michael Moore, from day 1 the American people have been kind of afraid of people. They started to flee over the ocean from the French people, and then they arrived to America. In America they saw Indians, and they shot them because they thought they would kill them too, and then they went paranoid and shot each other and went more and more freaked out. You can say they have getting used to shoot people and being paranoid from the beginning, it sounds barbaric, but that’s maybe one of the reasons.
