I think it’s disturbing that young people in America eat that much junk food and that many snacks. But it has become a huge problem, not only in the USA, but also in most of Europe. And it’s like no one is doing anything about it. The politicians are only talking about doing something; they never really act on it.
You should only eat junk food once a month, or not at all. That would definitely be the healthiest way of living. But I’m not sure anyone actually can do that. I know I can’t. It’s not like I eat a lot of junk food or snacks, but I do eat it sometimes. If I get a little bit hungry through the day and there is no fruit near me, then I often eat some crisps or candy instead. And that I’m actually a little ashamed of, because even though I know it’s unhealthy and bad, I eat it anyway.
I used too exercise a lot before I went too “boarding school”. I could usually run about 16km/h, and I’d bike at least 64km a week. But now I probably bike 2 or 3km a week, and my running speed is down to about 10km/h. I’m not completely sure why that has changed so dramatically, but it feels like when I have some spare time I’m usually too tired too exercise, probably ‘cause I mostly don’t get enough sleep.
