The slaves there were taken from their home in Africa, and taken on to ships to travel to America where exposed to many brutalities. When they came onboard to the ships, the captain ordered the crew to chain the slaves under the deck. In that way they couldn´t make rebel. When they were chained, the captain started to sail. The captain and he´s men had calculated incorrect, so they didn´t have so much food for the journey. That means that some slave’s didn´t get all that food that they needed. Sometimes it where only every second slave their get something to eat, and if they sat next to someone else, they would start to fight for the food. If it looked really bad with the food, would the captain just drown some of the slaves. If some of the men would make rebel they would be whipped by the captain. Some females were pregnant when they where cached in Africa, so they had to feed their baby onboard the ship. But some female´s didn´t want their baby to grow up under these conditions. So they took the baby in their arms and let themselves “drop” overboard. Some of the big males where so strong, that it succeeded for them to conquer the ship. But they couldn´t read the map so offend where they arrested or they where sailing in the wrong direction.
