Summery
The report is a suitable for interdisciplinary collaboration between biology and chemistry and, possibly also mathematics. The main topic of the report is "yeast reaction time." I have had made a fermentation experiment, where the aim of the study include was to examine how well the yeast is to fermented different carbohydrates and temperature, pH and various sugar concentrations influence on the reaction rate. From the response and the volume of CO2 can I find the mass of CO2 and mass of glucose.
Yeast is a eurokayote fungal cell. The plants have no green grain and cannot do photosynthesis. They live by the decomposition of organic matter without oxygen. In the fermentation process the yeast will form the glucose into alcohol (ethanol) and carbon dioxide. The energy released using yeast include growth, reproduction by mitosis and meioses or other life processes.
Today is produced by yeast and alcohol De Danske Spritfabrikker in Grenå. After the production is sold to supermarkets and abroad, which then we buy it in the daily baking.
