LT. Dunbar is now at the outpost trying to make him familiar with the new place. He also got his supplies inside the fort, and he decides to re/build some of the fort. While he is building, he sees a little lake, and in the lake he sees a heck a lot of reindeers, so he takes off his clothes and removes the reindeers from the lake. Then he burns them…STUPID! Now some Indian guys see the smoke, and they start to attack an innocent guy. Dunbar already had been at the fort for 30 days and still no sign of civilization. There’s also a wolf following him. The wolf seems very friendly and it looks cute. Later when he is bathing some Indian guy is inspecting the fort, but Dunbar scares him away…naked. Later the Indian guys, discusses, what they have to do about, the white man (Dunbar). Now he sees a bunch of Indian guys ride past him. The Indian guys just been to war. Dunbar has dressed him all up, searching for the Indians. But he finds a woman, which is hurt. So he takes her with him and rides a little further, and he finds the Indian village. There are also plenty of horses. Dunbar tries to handle over the hurted woman, but it seems like they don’t want her, but he gives her to them anyway and leaves. The Indian guys now meet him, and they try to talk together. He actually makes a good impression on them. The Indian people want the previous hurted girl to speak English and talk with Dunbar, but she says that she have forgotten how to speak English (the hurted girl is named Christina). The Indian guys give Dunbar a present, and invite him to their village. Dunbar meets Christina and they talk together (English). In the middle of the night, he hears a lot of buffaloes (they make the ground rumble). So he rides over to the Indians, and tells them that he saw buffaloes, so now they all like Dunbar. They are all looking for buffaloes and they searches for a long time, but all they find are dead buffaloes, killed by white men. But they make an another try later and finally find some buffaloes, they kill them, eat some of them, and celebrate! Dunbar really likes the Indian guys.
