The movie starts in 1964 in Mississippi. The first scene starts with a toilet, and a sad music feeling. There are 3 men in the car, and they were later missing. They had tried to enable black people in Mississippi to register to vote. They were killed by those who wanted to keep their world segregated. The case meant that Mississippi became a by-word for the worst of racism and bigotry, and the State has been haunted by the stigma of these killings for over forty years. Four decades later, the alleged orchestrated of this heinous crime is finally being hauled in front of the law. 79-year-old Edgar Ray Killen will at last stand trial for the killing of the civil rights workers. This compelling documentary has exclusive access to both the prosecutors and the defence and will offer the definitive film of this landmark trial.
