Give a summary of live like a dog, alone in no more than 150 words.

The story is about two persons, one woman and one man, and they live alone. Miriam is fifty-five years old and she is single. She has a job, and she is famous. She has no children. In the story they two people are inside a taxi, and the minicab driver is driving Miriam home. She has been on the hospital for a visit. Miriam and the taxi driver talks about everything of the minicab drivers personal life. He has no wife, and lives alone as Miriam also do. He tells Miriam about his life, and tells how much he hates his life and hates live alone. Miriam tells the minicab driver that she has a husband. But she hasn’t. In the ending they find out that they are similar in many ways.

Characterize Miriam and the life she lives.

She is a successful businesswoman, but she is not at happy businesswoman. She doesn’t have a husband or children. She is divorced. She says in the story: “If you live alone you can take care of yourself. If you have no children you can afford a face-lift”. But I think that she dreams about have children and a husband, a real family. I think she lives on a façade sometimes. She is fifty-five years old. That shows me that people who have that age don’t want to show that they are sad sometimes. She lies. But in the ending she tells the true. I also think she is a helpful woman, because she tries to help the minicab driver. She tries to get the minicab driver to look positive at his life. (Page 10, ll. 80-90).
