The story takes place in a taxi in England, and it is about a woman called Miriam. She has just been discharged from the hospital. She is suffering from stress.

She gets picked up by a taxi at the hospital. In the taxi Miriam and the taxi driver have a very serious conversation about life. The driver regards himself as a dog. “I live like a dog, alone.” But Miriam has not that impression of him, and she tries to convince him something else.

They talks about his life that lives alone, he has no family and comes from Kosovo. Miriam tries to cheer him up. But he is not the only one who lives a miserable life. Miriam lies about her live. She is a wealthy lady, but she has stress, no husband and lives alone just like the taxi driver. But she will not admit it.

As they drive they get closer to each other, and when the driver stop by her home, he ask her if he should come in for coffee’, and for a few seconds she is imagine a life with him. If she invited him in, they might be ending up married.
