Amish folkets rettigheder som minoritet

Amish people have right to be minority as every other subculture. The declaration of human rights says that you have right to have every religious believe, you can say whatever you like so long as you don’t make libel against another person, and you have the right to be a minority.

But is it in fact okay to be a minority if you break the rules to obtain the rules of your religious cult or minority in the country you are settled in? Is it okay to keep children imprisoned in a society where the outside world is banned and therefore they have no knowledge of the world and its status? Is it in fact okay to be a minority when the kids of the religion are born with a prearranged future? Is it acceptable to shun people from your own family or community? When the minority has no respect for every other religion or society group should there be an exemption in the declaration of human rights?

My personal opinion is that the declaration of human rights can´t be redefined unless it is necessary and it can benefit the world. I think when the minority submits the children’s right to be free, and when young boys and girls have to chose between the family, the society in where they are raised or the world (where you have the opportunity to be free and don’t have obligation to your religious sect) it should be reconsidered to be legal. I think it is wrong to prearrange the future of a little kid and not letting it have a chance to live like every other kid with all the basic background knowledge. The problem of the isolation is that when they get to Rumspringa (where they have 4 years to see the world) they often gets psychological problems, because of the big conversion between the close knitted society and the open minded world.
