Sicko is a documentary about the American health insurance system, written by Michael Moore. He tries to find out how the health insurance companies betray the American people. There are 60 million people in America who have no got health insurance. And 18.000 of them die every year because they can’t afford to have a health insurance. A man who cut of two of his fingers on he’s Circular Saw, got the choice to pay 12.000$ and get one of his fingers back, or pay 60.000$ to get his second finger back. He chose the cheapest one.

In 2001, the World Trade Center was attacked. Many people died, and it was one of the biggest tragedies in the American story. There were many volunteer workers, who helped the fire-fighters and the rescue workers, to save as many people as possible. Dorety was there. She was a sick nurse. She worked as a volunteer at the World Trade Center tragedy. As many others Americans, she payed a lot of money, to have a full health insurance, because then they would help her if she got sick. But could she be sure of that?

Many of the Volunteer workers got a problem with their breathing, because of the dust from the buildings. They thought that their health insurance companies would help them, but they didn’t. The companies told them to prove that they were volunteer workers. But the people did prove it, and they got no help.
