If the whole world were listening to me – what would I say? That’s a pretty good question and it took a lot of time for me to find the answer. I would talk about poverty in Africa. The reason why I would talk about that is because it’s a very big problem! Poverty in Africa affects the whole world. Despite 40 years of development aid from the rich world, people in most countries in Africa are still among the worlds poorest, and there are no signs that it will change.

Poverty in Africa is in a globalized world is not merely an accident of the poor themselves, but a source of unrest and conflict in the world. Not least because of the risk of large migration flows and religious radicalization. So Africa plays an increasingly strategic role in the rich countries' foreign policy - a role that goes beyond rectifying a bad conscience about the miserable living conditions for millions of people.

How to solve the problem:

Donate to organizations that help. For example, save the Children, UNICEF and Ibis.

Save the Children fights for children's rights and provides emergency relief and long-term assistance to risky children in the world. Save the Children fights for children's rights for example food security and education. In one year, Save the Children made a difference for more than 750,000 children and adults in Denmark and the world's developing countries.
