Sophie is a young teenage girl, who is trying to detach herself from her mother. On the one side she doesn’t want to get away from he, but on the other side, she doesn’t know if she is ready to stand on her own feet, because of the paralyzation
Sophie is actually paralyzed, and fought herself out in the field to think, she is very exhausted, and doesn’t really know if she shall continue, or if she shall crawl back. She is looking on the house trying to decide what to do, and also thinking, what may happen if she goes back, and what may happen if she continues.
Earlier that day her mother and Sophie had a fight. Her mother wanted her to help at home, but Sophie says she can’t because of her paralyze, and that she won’t do it, because that it hurts. Sophie is laying a lot in her bed, and started painting to get rid of some pastime. She often painted herself, and the problems she had in her life.
She wants to go back, but what will happen when she does, will her mother get angry about her running away and that her fine new dress is totally dirty, with stains that may never come off again, or will they find a solution to the problem?
