Summary of 'The Shining Mountain'

The shining mountain is about a Scottish girl named Pangma la. She has been named after a mountain because her father is a famous climbing. One day her father takes her up a mountain, which is called the shining mountain. The first day a lady comes and ask her whether she should take her bag, but Pangma la say no. The evening telling Pangma la it to her father and he gets her to promise that during the trip, she will not talk to anyone no matter what they ask or offer her. The other day comes the old lady again and ask about the same and this time says Pangma la accepted the offer, but she does not say anything to her father because she did not want to disappoint him. The third day she comes back and ask about the same. The feathered day she comes back, but that gives Pangma la the lady her heavy heart and turns into a swan and flies away. Pangma la’s father finds out that the lady was a goddess. Pangma la’s father cry for the first time and the goddess gives Pangma la her heart again.
