The Shining Mountain is a fairytale about a girl called Pangma-La. Pangma-La's father has high expectations to his daughter. Pang-la-ma is called after a famous mountain and unfortunately, she was teased about it in school. She wouldn’t disappoint her father, so she lives up to her father’s expectations.
When Pang-ma-la became older her father teaches her mountaineering skills so they can climb the “The Shining Mountain” together. Finally, Pangma-la and her father travelled to climb the famous mountain. When they arrived to the mountain a Sherpa woman appears to help Pang-ma-la carry her massive sack. But Pang-ma-la rejected the Sherpa woman because she wouldn’t disappoint her father. The next day the Sherpa woman asked Pang-ma-la for permission to carry her sack but this time Pang-ma-la let the Sherpa woman carry the heavy things from Pangma-La's bag. She switched the heavy things with swans.
