Hello everybody, and welcome! I'm glad to see everyone who turned up.First at all I will tell you a little about me. My name is Terry Leahy, and I am the CEO of Tesco. I live in Liverpool with my wife, [NAVN A] and our tree lovely children. I am 51 years old, which is a perfect age.

I will start to tell about the development of Tesco. So I tell a little about other successful shops like Tesco. Then I will tell about the green consumerism and in the end I tell about Tesco in the future.

Tesco has become the third biggest retail company in the world. This is very nice, I think. We have done ourselves worthy. The development of retailing has become bigger and better. Over the last couple of years we have opened stores over the whole world. It is for example China. In the future, I have planned moving to other countries in the west of America and India. Now I am operate in 12 countries. That is many, but I can handle it.

All the costumers from local shops have been moving to supermarkets like Tesco. That is not good for the local shops, but hey, they can work in Tesco’ instead. It’s much easier to go shopping in the big supermarkets. Because they have almost everything in the big supermarkets, so they save a lot of time.
