'Precious' film summary

The drama 'Precious' is the story of Claireece "Precious" Jones is a 16-year-old African-American girl with a life no one will envy. Precious lives in Harlem, is pregnant for the second time with his father, who is not otherwise spend time with his family. Precious live with her mother Mary. Mary is a woman who treats her own child Precious as his own slave, and feels no shame or remorse. The school is one big chaos and Precious has reached the ninth grade with good grades, but hides another terrible secret that she can neither read nor write. Precious ends at a small school 'Each One Teach One' for children who have been kicked out of school. While Precious is pregnant with her second child, she goes to school and get some really good friends who support her through life.

Her new teacher Miss Rain Blu ask everyone in the class to write in a little sort of diary which they must read aloud, they write about the bad and the day's highlight. Precious feel instantly better than before and begins to confront her own mother. After she gave birth to her second child, Abdul, took her home to her mother as she had not seen since she ended up in hospital. Since Precious comes home to the apartment she finds her mother on the couch which had view of the door. Mary began her acting and eventually she exclaims in violence and anger. Precious and Abdul gets to stay home by Miss Rain while her first disabled child at home by Precious grandmother.
