Bloody Sunday The war was commemorated by the Irish band U2 in their protest song in 1983 called ”Sunday, Bloody Sunday”. John Lennon also wrote a song about this event. It is a protest song about the conflict between Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland on 30th of January 1972.
