1. Short summary of the novel.
Dead Poets Society is a novel written in 1989 by N. H. Kleinbaum. It is about the adventures of a group of boys in a well-respected all-boys prepatory school called Welton Academy, located in Vermont. The story begins at the start of a new school year where we are introduced to the characters of the book with a formal event, where the four ‘pillars,’ the main values of the school are introduced to the students. Everything seems to be going as planned, until it is time for their English lesson which is where they meet Mr. Keating for the first time. They notice from the get-go that this English teacher is no ordinary teacher.
