In the story we are introduced to the lindens family, which consist of Father Dan, Mother Beth, and their three children Honey the eldest, Grace and Ben. They just moved to LA from The UK. The reason why they moved to LA is that Dan is looking for a new job as an actor, cause their financial situation is not very good, It was Beth’s idea to move to LA for a half-year, meanwhile Dan had his doubts. Dan is trying to get a job at CBS, and have a meeting with the caster, but he gets told that there isn’t a job available for him right now. Dan and Beth have rented a house in the hills, which they got recommended by Dan’s friend. When Dan is going to casting, he rather goes alone there, but Beth wants to come with him. Later on Dan gets a call back by the caster, and gets asked if his seven years-old son, would be able to do a casting, and use him as a leader for a show. Dan didn’t tell Beth about the casting for Honey, which seems weird, And he didn’t even discussed it with Beth, it could be that he would get jealous or so, cause he didn’t maybe didn’t had success at that age, and he don’t want to be ‘’overcome’’ by his own daughter, it could also be that he wants to protect Honey, if he sees some negative aspects on this. Maybe if he told it to Beth, she would support it, and actually want Honey to go to that casting.
