Psycho is a 1960 American psychological horror film, which is one of the genres within horror. The film is directed and produced by Alfred Hitchcock and written by Joseph Stefano.
The film ‘Psycho’ is about Marion Crane from Phoenix who works as an assistant for a real estate agent. She has a lover named Sam. One day Marion steals a big amount of money from her boss and sees an opportunity to get what she’s always wanted. She packs her stuff and believes that she can escape town without anyone noticing. Her destination is Fairvale where Sam lives. She stops at the Bates Motel because it’s raining. The motel is run by the lonely Norman, who lives with his invalid mother in a big, old house on the hill beside the motel. She gets room number one next to the reception and Norman’s office where he keeps stuffed birds. After talking to Norman she decides to return the money. She never makes it. Marion is killed. Several people come looking for her, but no one seems to be able to figure out the mystery, except Sam and Marion's sister, Laila. Norman’s mother has been dead for 10 years, and her murderer was Norman who also killed the man she loved.
