Describe some of the emotions you felt during the film. Which aspects of the video had the greatest impact on you and why?
During the film, I felt much more responsible than I’m used to in the everyday life. The thing with this kind of documentaries is that people watch them and then feel like they should do something, but right after watching it; they go out for a ride in their old car without thinking about how much it pollutes. While watching it I thought about that, and it made a lot of sense when they talked about the human race. They said that humans are the smartest race on the planet, but we have a hard time changing our lifestyle if we can’t see a result after a short period of time. That had the greatest impact on me because that explains why it is such a big problem.
What information contained in the video was new to you?
There were a lot of things in the documentary that I already knew about, but the one that was the newest to me was probably that Stephen Hawking had said, if we continue like this, the earth would end up looking like Venus. Which means it will be about 400 degrees Fahrenheit all year around and the rain will be sulfuric acid. I had never heard about that before.
