They say the American dream is a dream about how every individual with their unalienable rights, through hard work and strength of mind, no matter birth or position, are able to attain the fullest stature in life and to achieve any stated goal. It isn’t a dream of materialism, but a dream of social order. So the question is; is the American dream still alive?
If we look at the American history from the 20th century and till now, we know(O) some great and influential American profiles like Martin Luther King and Barack Obama. And why they’re so great is because they both went from pretty humble beginnings and gradually became extremely successful. They were and are still today a voice for so many individuals, especially the African American people, who have suffered more than anyone: For several years were they oppressed and discriminated in every aspect of their lives. In other words, no one had ever thought they’d become as successful as their white fellow human beings, because they’d always been seen as worth less and their abilities underestimated. But when King became a social activist and youngest receiver of the Nobel peace prize and Obama the United States(G) very first black president, they both proved society wrong and with that achieved sky-high social rankings, like the dream is all about.
