If I have to choose between Andy and Ellis, it has to be Ellis because of the ending. In the beginning the viewers probably think that he is getting beating up because of his race, but that’s not the case. He is s very lovely man because he can smuggle everything in. He creates a healthy friendship with Andy and a about 22 years after he got released. The thing that I especially love about him is that he didn’t take his own life, instead he wanted to find Andy and start a new life with him in Mexico.

This Is the best movie in the world, according to Imdb so of course would I recommend this movie to a friend. This is probably the fifth time I have seen the movie and every time I see it I find some new hidden messages, such as some the quotes that Ellis is telling through the movie.
