The movie is about banker Andy Dufresne, who is sentenced to double life for a murder of his wife and her lover; he has not committed the sentence to be detained in the Shawshank prison. He quickly builds a strong friendship with another deployed, "Red", smuggling things like, for example, cigarettes into prison, and are worked through the corrupt prison system by exploiting their talents in economics. Andy has dumped a tunnel in the wall, it took him 20 years, and he flees from prison once in the 1960s through the hole and a 500-meter long drain.
