Slumdog Millioaire is a movie about 2 brothers they are growing up in Mombays slum. Jamal Malik participates in “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”? He answers correct of all questions. The police don’t believe that a poor slum boy can know so much. They arrest him the night just before the finale question and suspect him of cheating on a somehow. To convince the police Jamal tell his life story.
In Jamal’s childhood he lives in Mumbai’s slums whit his brother Salim and their mother. Later their mother is murdered in an anti-Muslim massacre. The two brothers Jamal and Salim run away for their lives. They meet a girl called Latika. Jamal insists that she can travel with them. After that they meet a gangster that exploits children to sing for begging money. The two brothers and Latika escape from the gangster, and Salim and Jamal jump on a train without Latika.
Jamal and Salim end up as fake tour guides at the Taj Mahal. They discover that Latika has been together with the gangster man. Salim draws a gun and kills him. Jamal and Salim become enemies and separate from each other.
Years later Jamal is working on a call center and he searches in the database for Salim and Latika and he succeeds. The brothers see each other and Jamal is angry because Salim is in so much crime and troubles. Jamal tells Latika that he is in love with her and promises to wait everyday at the station. The gangster discovers that Salim has helped Latika escape and Salim is shot. In the end they tell in the movie that Jamal was destined to win the money and he also end up together with Latika.
