To watch the X Games in skating, I stayed in Southern California using CouchSurfing this year. My friends told me about CouchSurfing, so I joined and paid the two dollars for the month and began looking for a place to sleep near The X Games. I then met this guy. He also skated and lived nearby. My trip to the US was finally here, so I hopped on the plane and headed to LA in about 12 hours, and I had about 1500 bucks with me so I could live, rent a car, and buy weird stuff for the week. It was about a two-hour drive from the airport to the guy I was going to live with this week. I arrived in time for dinner and met him and his family for the first time. They lived in a big house with three pets and two kids. In addition to seeing how people live in different countries, it was funny to be the new guy in the family and see how they live. I got to see where I was supposed to sleep, and he also showed me his board collection; it was kind of funny because we both use the same brand. I spent the next day in Hollywood shopping and looking at monuments. At six o'clock I had promised the family to have dinner with them to get to know them better. In 2016, the family moved to LA from Denver. The dad got a high-paying job in LA, and the mother stayed at home to take care of the younger child. The older child was in middle school. I went skating after dinner and came home late. The next day it was the day where The X Games was going to begin, I was very excited that day I got to see many cool sports and stunts, but I was most excited for the skating, but it was going to begin tomorrow. But one very cool thing was the BMX riders they made many cool tricks and stunts one guy made a double backflip off the mega ramp. That day I also got back at the place I was sleeping late but then I came to indorse the guy ask me about The X Games and I told him everything. The next day was the day where the skating competition was held. The family was also going to The X Games so that made me happy. At The X Games one guy that was skating made a 1080 turn in 50 feet of air it was a world record that was so amazing. After the games we got home, and I packed my stuff and said goodbye to the family. On the way to the airport, I thought about all the thing I learned from the family. I learned about American culture and the American lifestyle. It was an amazing and not that expensive thanks to CouchSurfing. I got on the plane and got home. I told my friend what an amazing trip I had and thanked him for the tip.
