I wanted to write about Nikola tesla, because he lived out the American dream. and because I am fascinated, by inventors that changed the world like him and albert Einstein and elon and I chose him, because I think he is the most fascinating one, an he made the world a much easier place to live in, so I wanted to learn more about him.
Who was he?
Nikola Tesla was an inventor, electrical engineer, and physicist. He is mostly known for his design of the alternating current, also known as AC, which is the standard electricity format, that comes out of the power outlet. He was born in a village in the Austrian empire, or what today is Croatia. But he later moved to America.
How it started
When he started going to school it was easy to see that he was unusually wise. In high school Tesla could solve maths problems in his head, that were so hard, his teachers thought he was cheating. He began studying engineering, and got the highest grades possible, but unfortunately, he got in to gambling, and lost almost all his money.
Then Tesla moved to America with only 4 cents in his pocket, and began working for Thomas Edison, where he was hired as an engineer. Edison told Tesla that he would pay him 50.000$ which is due to the inflation about worth 1.000.000$, for redesigning his dc motors and generators. Tesla did it after many weeks of hard work, he finally finished the redesign, but when he asked for the money, Edison answered, “you don’t understand American humour” Tesla quit soon after that.
