“The different between a loser and a winner, is that the winners try and losers gives up.”
I’ve just seen the greatest movie, called Little Miss Sunshine. It is about a family, a messy family. They don’t have ‘everything’, but they don’t ask for more. They just work hard for their dreams, and believe in themselves and each other. They do something for each other and help each other. There isn’t a specific main character; all of the family has an important character for the film. But there is a great little girl, Olive, she is seven years old, she wants to participate in a beauty-contest, as matter of fact she isn’t aware of it, but she actually believes in the American dream. She doesn’t give up, no matter what. She has a brother, Dwayne, he is so strong – psychically. He is so exceptional, he believes- and follows his dream big time. Nobody will or can stop him. The mother in the other hand, named Sheryl, doesn’t have a dream like her children. Her role is to be the one who takes care of everything. I think you can say that, her dream and wishes, is that her children are happy and achieve theirs dreams. Richard – the father of the family is – according to himself a winner. He wouldn’t look like a loser, he don’t want his daughter or son to be losers, they shall fight for theirs dreams, believe in their dreams and never give up; if they do so, they will become a losers, which is unacceptable. Richards father, Olive and Dwayne’s grandpa, is a fresh and up to date man, he’s the one, who teach Olive the dance with which she will participate with in the beauty-contest. He is quite a funny man. Sheryl’s brother, Olive and Dwayne’s uncle, Frank, on the other hand, is a quiet man, he has had some problems, and that’s the reason why he lives with his sisters, Sheryl’s, family right now.
