?During the Christmas season, everyone seems to be in a rush. But sometimes you might wonder, why all the commotion? A lot of things have to be done in this season. Sometimes there can be a lot of work to do for just one person and then that one person can go nuts.
?For example in this Christmas fairy tale we meet Sylvia Cramp. She is the mom of three grown-up girls and doesn’t have a husband, so she has a lot of stuff to do in the Christmas holidays. She is very busy because she is going to make a big Christmas dinner with all included. Two of the main themes in this story are irony and comic. In a “normal” family you would have the parents to control the children and tell them what to do. But in this Christmas Fairy Tale the roles has switched and that’s the comedy of the situation. It’s the children who are the controlling ones, and the parent who is the controlled one. The girls tell Sylvia what to do and what to cook for Christmas Eve. The irony of the story is that the girls can’t cook and they want a lot of stuff for their Christmas dinner, but in the end they are going to do it anyway.
