Ireland Ireland is also known as Emeralds Isle. It’s divided in two countries Northern Ireland where Ulster is the capital city, and southern Ireland where the capital is Dublin. In 1170 the English invaded Ireland. They took their land and riches. The rich got poor. They made the Irish work for them. This experience started a huge conflict which is still going.
