Playing Career:
Michael Laudrup started his career in the Danish club FC Copenhagen and Brøndby IF, before he was sold to Juventus FC in Italy. From 1983-85, he played in Juventus' satellite club SS Lazio, but he is of course best known for his time in the Spanish club FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, with whom he won five championships. After Real Madrid he played for Vissel Kobe in Japan, before ending his club career by winning the Dutch championship with Ajax Amsterdam.
Laudrup played 104 matches for the Danish football team, which puts him in top 5 players. He played on his 18 birthday in 1982, (MOD) Norway, where he scored in the 2-1 defeat and played his last match (MOD) Brazil in the quarter-finals at World Cup (VM) in 1998. Laudrup scored 37 goals for the national team.
