Jamaica is the third biggest island in the Caribbean Sea south for Cuba, and has an area on 10.990 kilometers. There are many mountains on Jamaica, and the highest mountain is Blue Mountain Peak. The capital in Jamaica is Kingston, and has a population on 2, 7 million. The official language in Jamaica is English, but they have also another locale language, named “Patois”. Patois is a blend between English and Spanish. When I hear the name ”Jamaica”, I think on Bob Marley who lived there, and I think of sandy beach. I think that all the tourists on Jamaica are lucky, because I would love to spend my holidays there. For me the country Jamaica seems like a dream world, with party all night, music, sun and beautiful beaches.

The indigenous people of Jamaica come from Africa, but there are also smaller groups of Chinese, Indian, Arab, European people. In Jamaica there grows bananas and bauxite. Agriculture is a very important thing in Jamaica. First of all there is sugar cane, but also bananas is a big crop. Most of the indigenous on Jamaica is Christian Protestants. The national sport is cricket, but also football. Actually succeed it for Jamaica in 1998 to qualify them to VM in France, and all the population of the island, where so happy! Jamaica has never formerly been qualified to VM.
