In the beginning in the text is the story takes/taken place in India. Later in the text the story takes/taken place in USA. It could be in a real world but we don’t know.
The setting creates a particular atmosphere when Mita wait for her future husband. She is tense.
Characters:
There are two main characters. Mita the one who shall marry Somesh Sen. He is the second main character. Mita is a woman who lives with her family and around her friends in a little Indian village and Somesh is a man who lives in California with his family. He is a good man. Comes from a fine family. Mita describe him as a kind, patient man. And so handsome. Mita wants to work in the store with Somesh, but he wants that Mita shall first have a degree and then work later. First is Mita introduced then we heard about Somesh, so they appear gradually. I think Mita develops a lot. From is a father’s girl, to travel to a new country without knowing someone. So she is not remaining the same throughout the story. Mita is a round character because she is not static but she moves herself from A to B (by moving place for example and live with a new man in her life). Somesh is also a round character because he is various and complexity. He wants to take care of his parents and also take care of Mita, while he also works in the store.
