It’s a normal boring day for the newly married couple Anuj and Lata. Anuj wants to do something, and suggests going to the new local Indian restaurant. Lata refuses, he would rather go to a English. Anuj gets sad and annoyed. “There is food in the fridge” she says. The only thing Lata wants to do, is to sit at do crosswords. Anuj asks Lata if she wants to go watch a movie. She does not really want, but lays her chin in to him and whispers “yes”. When they arrive at the cinema, Lata is busy looking at all the young British girls. Anuj goes up to the ticket sale. While Lata stands at a corner watching all the couples, and small kids having a good time at the restaurant. During the movie she didn’t really pay attention to the story, but was busy reliving her own life as it used to be in her hometown in India.

Essay:

I think it is a bad thing to get married away against own will. You can clearly see that she is unsure of herself, and she is miserable about the relationship she has to Anuj. You will never be as happy as if you found the real love by yourself. But unfortunately in some religions, the woman has no choice. It can ruin a whole life for a woman, and in the worst case lead to suicide. I think the worst arranged marriage is when it is a very young girl especially under 18. Think if you are that young, you still have lot of your childhood left. But have to think of all the marriage in a way too young age. The arranged marriage has gone over and over again in generations. So for the very faithful humans, it is not just something you change. Arranged marriage is not a rule in society, it’s a tradition in some religions, so you have no choice. It's hard to come up with a proposal for what to do. Arranged marriage does not need to have anything to do with religion. It can also be a tradition in your family that your parents find the right husband for the woman/girl.
