Migration is when people move from a country to another country. There are two kinds of migrants Immigrants and Emigrants, it covering the same but with two different perspectives. There are different reasons why people do immigration and emigration. One of them is called Push factors; it is reasons for emigration, which make people to move away from their country/place. The reason why people do emigration could among other things be because of war and poverty in their own country. If they are leaving because of war they runaway to a country with much more safety, where they could go to sleep without being afraid of never waking up again. Some people are leaving because of poverty maybe they can’t get a job because their country already is in a vicious circle with a lot of unemployment. Other Push factors could be; Land scarce in home country, political or religious persecution or revolutions.

The other reason is called Pull factors; it is different reasons for immigration, which make people to move into a new country/place. It is instances of factors in the new country that make people want to move into it. Examples of Pull factors could be; Promise of freedom (religious and political), hope for a new and better life with a higher living standard, marrying the person you love or better job opportunities. I think there are a lot of people who try to move into Denmark to settle, because of our welfare state. Maybe some of them try to get money of the state in one way or another. It is one of the reasons why the Danish immigration policy is that strict as it is. The government doesn’t accept the immigrants who just want to get money from the State without doing something for the country. The immigrants have to have an education, and they have to do something to our country, like learning our language or at least speak English. If we not had claim like these, we couldn’t have a welfare state like we have today. If everybody had opportunity to move into Denmark, would discussions about who should be helped and who will not be helped, and where will the money come from.
