President Obama will not just sit and be a witness, that is why president Obama is coming up with a new gun control proposal, which include 3 different proposals, Criminal background check, Banning assault weapons and large ammunition magazine and Mental health initiative. Criminal background checkPresident Obama wants every buyer of a weapon, to be background checked, he think it is indefensible that they have a system that allows people to sell guns with no background checks. According to the US justice department, up to 40 % of gun purchases take place without a background check. Many gunmen have a clean criminal history, and according to Jack Levin, a professor of sociology at Northeastern University in Boston, background checks would not have stopped most school shootings, because the gunmen took legally obtained weapons from their parents with spotless backgrounds. But a background check will stop those with criminal or psychiatric backgrounds, to buy weapons.
