The short story ''The False Moon'' is written by Shirley Golden in 2011. It's about a teenage boy called Matt . Matt sneaks out every night after his mother has fallen asleep. He likes to be out at night in the dark where he feels like an explorer. One night in a abandon railway he starts to paint graffiti. He meets a girls who is also doing the same and he likes her. His mother finds out and she cries and apologizes. The Narrator is a young teenager. I would guess that he is like 15-18 years old. He lives with his mother but they still don't see each other much. He stills goes in school but sometimes he doesn't show up. We see that in line 24 :
''Good to see you decided to honour us with your presence today, Matt''
It's a first person narrator because we are inside Matt's head and we can hear his thoughts and ideas and we doesn't know how other people think or feel. I think the narrator is reliable because we just hear his story and what he thinks. If we heard it from his mothers point of view it would have been different but it seems realistic. He doesn't have the best relationship with his mother. They don't talk much and she doesn't prioritize him very high we can see that in line 54 and line 55.
