In 8.a we watched the movie: A Christmas Carol – by Charles Dickens. We learned a lot about him too, but this composition is not about him. At first, I would like to tell you about the main characters in A Christmas Carol:Ebenezer Scrooge – the primary main character. He is an old, stingy, rich and heartless man who hates things that have anything to do with Christmas. He call it ‘humbug’ and thinks it is waste of time and money – in the beginning at least.
Fred – the nephew of Ebenezer Scrooge. A very nice man who loves Christmas and family gatherings. He is a relatively rich and wealthy man with a wife.
Bob Crachit – Scrooge’s clerk (which is a kind of an assistant). He works for Scrooge every day, except for Christmas Eve. He really does need money, because he has a family to provide – consisting of a wife and six children. The youngest is “Tiny Tim” who is a cripple and close to death.
Jacob Marley – Scrooge’s former business partner who is dead. He later becomes a creepy ghost and kind of haunts Scrooge to be a better person.
Fan – The sister of Ebenezer. Unfortunately, she died giving birth to Fred. She loved Scrooge, and Scrooge loved her.
