The Obama speech was represented by the 2008 Democratic Convention held in Denver, Colorado. The speech was held when Obama accepted the party’s nomination for the presidency of the United States. At the time the speech was delivered Obama was a political speaker and a senator. He had a large audient at the convention, but the speech was also televised and broadcast on social media. Obama’s speech was generally emotional and powerful. The main topic of his speech was about the American Promise. Barack Obama wanted to see the American promise. He wanted to great opportunities for the future generations.

Obama start of by telling about his dream and goals for the country. He wants to shine though with his personality and his dream for America. His intention is to get people to vote on him and his political view. He wants to build a society bigger than wealth. He wants to lift the spirit and make something bigger. He wants to focus on the well-being of the citizens. His attention is on the fact that America can rise or fall as one nation.

His model of appeal is to convince everyone that he wants to work for them to live out their dreams. He wants to promise to take responsibility for the things they can’t control, he mentions this in the speech “Ours is a promise that says government cannot solve all our problems, but what it should do is that which we cannot do for ourselves — protect us from harm and provide every child a decent education; keep our water clean and our toys safe; invest in new schools and new roads and new science and technology” (p.1, l.26).
